Game Of The Day!

Step 1: Wait until your Mom thinks it's safe to take a quick shower.
Step 2: With the help of an older sibling take a box of your favorite cereal out of the pantry (Cheerio's work really well).
Step 3: Once your older sibling enters the bathroom to "tattle", make sure she shuts you out and then dump half the box of cereal on the floor.
Step 4: Now here's where the "fun" begins. Start shoving the cereal under the bathroom door to your "partner in crime" while at the same time you both shove as much cereal in your mouth as you possibly can.

The game ends when Mom gets out of the shower thus stopping the fun!

Don't forget to have your older sibling justify their part in the "fun" by stating they were "just helping to clean up the mess"

DISNEYLAND!

Ahh, a much needed vacation (although my feet now need one)! We started our trip to CA on Monday March 7. Corey was able to leave work early and we left Layton about noon with a 5 hr drive to Mesquite, NV ahead of us. It rained most of the way down, and we must have guardian angels watching over us because we we able to travel the worst part of the I-15 corridor (through Beaver and Fillmore) right between 2 storms. At one point we came upon the scene of a recent accident where the entire back end of a sedan was completely missing, a very sobering site. A quick rest in Mesquite (I felt I was staying at the Bates Motel, and that's all I could think of while in the shower!) and the next morning we made our way to Anaheim without any issues. Our room wasn't ready yet, so we parked at our hotel and walked right to the park (best decision ever to stay right across the street from Disneyland)! The first 3 days the park wasn't crowded at all, although it was HOT (for us at least) 81 on the hottest day. We were able to walk right up and ride almost every ride. Friday I would guess it was about 4 times as busy, so we didn't ride much. It was nice that for the most part we could take it slow and we ended up going back to the hotel every afternoon for a swim and a nap (although I never could get Quinton to nap).
After a long drive, they're not too excited to be at Disneyland :)
Waiting for the teacups. Quinton could hardly stand it, he was SO excited :)
He loved this ride and was laughing until the end when he got a little too dizzy.
Such a cutie! (His new theme song is California Girls because all he did the whole time is flirt with the teenage girls by throwing them this smile and waving)
Cheese!
Corey and Donald, it says, "Impatient, Irascible and hard to understand" :)
Quinton was even shooting his ray gun on the Buzz Lightyear ride.
At the entrance to California Adventure
This is where we ate lunch with the princesses!
Love this pic, after we took our initial pose, Aurora asked Emma for a hug, Emma leaned in and gave Aurora a kiss :)
Waiting for the train
This face cracks me up! He is such a character :)

On the Mark Twain Riverboat
Snow White's Scary Adventure (for the 3rd time) :)
The "all you can care for" lunch buffet in Frontierland. Really good!
Quinton, covered in cornbread clapping to the music
Emma up on stage

This balloon and cotton candy were the only two things she asked for the entire trip.

After all that fun we decided to just drive all the way home. We really weren't impressed with the hotel in Mesquite and were willing to loose out on our reservation to get home. We left Anaheim and about 40 minutes later saw a sign stating there had been an accident on I-15, we quickly used the detour mode in our GPS and were on our way again when we came upon a second accident. This time we decided not to use the detour as it didn't appear to get us out of the mess. BIG MISTAKE! We literally sat on the freeway for 3 hours. Yes! THREE hours! At one point we were at a standstill and Corey jumped out and pulled the cooler from the trunk so I could feed the kids lunch. We had planed eating lunch in Baker, CA (it turned out being dinner). Again, we witnessed the scene of another accident counting our blessing as we were on our way. Shortly after our 3 hr delay Emma threw-up :( We stopped for lunch/dinner and were on our way again. Then Emma threw-up a second time :( I've realized I have quite the talent with cleaning up throw-up and completely undressing a 3 yr old still buckled in her car seat at 80 MPH! We made it to Mesquite about the kids' bedtime and they then slept the entire drive home :) We're still trying to adjust to the time change and with daylight savings, but other then that we've all recuperated from our family "vacation"!
