I'm so pretty, Oh so pretty (even though I won't smile for the camera)!

Corey's mom got Emma her dress for Easter. She bought the exact same one for Corey's niece Conley, who is in our ward. My mom also crocheted Emma one, but I didn't have a slip made for it yet (which turned out to be a good thing as Conley would have been disappointed if she and Emma weren't twiners).

One year old and still no hair :)

I love this shot :)

From the back with her hat.

Look at those chubby little arms (who knows what that face means)!

Sitting with the hat (I'm surprised she kept it on)!

Easter

Because Emma is still a bit too little to find her Easter Basket, the Easter Bunny made a trail of eggs from her bedroom to her basket in the family room. Corey and I had her go along and pick up the eggs one by one and put them in her smaller basket. It took a while, but she finally got the hang of it.

Yum, Chocolate (she opened it all by herself)!

Oceanside

Our last day in California, April 10th, we went to Oceanside beach and stopped at the San Diego Temple before we had to be to the Airport. Emma loved looking at the ocean and the waves. We walked down the pier first and she kept pointing at the ocean. She didn't like putting her feet in the water as it was pretty cold. We walked along the beach and collected some sea shells. There weren't many.

Corey and a pelican (they are huge)!

Our Family on the pier.

Gabe, Grandpa (Corey's Dad, Randy), Emma and the pelican. Corey thought it was gonna eat Emma!

Dad and Emma, Emma wants only Mom to hold her.

San Diego Wild Animal Park

The next day of our trip we went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. I thought we had the most fun here. I thought Emma would enjoy animals up close and personal, but she was afraid of them. One exhibit, Lorakeet Landing, you buy a small cup of nectar to feed the birds, they land right on you! Emma was terrified! She didn't like the petting zoo either and would cry every time I got near an animal. She did love the Journey to Africa tour and was the most excited all trip during the ride.

Sea World!

We went to Sea World on the 7th of April. The temperature was only about 65 degrees, but it felt really hot to us. The first show we saw was the dolphin show. We didn't have a hat for Emma and we were sitting directly in the sun, so I improvised and put an extra pair of shorts on her head. (She won't wear a hat, but she'll wear a pair of shorts on her head!) She ended up sleeping through the entire show! We later bought her a sea world hat, which she eventually kept on.

My First Plane Ride! April 6, 2009

We decided to take a trip to visit Corey's brother in California. We flew from Salt Lake to San Diego. Surprisingly Emma was great on the flight. We brought one of her favorite books and some little dollar toys. She didn't even cry or fuss once! (She did have 2 bottles though, one during take-off and one during landing)

Waiting in the Terminal :)
Still waiting, our flight was delayed 23 minutes.

Almost in San Diego!
